Dokerr was a man who lived on the southern side of Badu Island. He always would go turtle hunting. One day when the hunting he caught a turtle. He wanted to butcher the turtle on the beach where he was staying then he decided to change his mind and he took her to another beach. He then didn’t want to cut the turtle on the beach, so kept going to another bay around the island until he came to a place called koitaid,and then that’s where Dokerr decided to cut the warr (turtle).The place is called Melawaal.

When Dokerr butchered the turtle, he then walked out and turned into a rock and that’s where today it stands on the eastern side of Badu called Melawaal.
