The story:
The meaning of the title in Western Torres Strait Islander language of Badu Island is Traditional law for who has the full authority for land. It is known as Garrka. He gives authority of who and how the land is used and shared, which also follows the Island law and its protocols. This woven mat also represents healing myself – weaving inside of my spirit and soul, to become a better and a stronger person, and also my ancestral guidance through my new life and journey. Edition of 10 Printed by Dr David Jones, Brisbane, 12Nov2018 from green vinyl with GC&I black relief ink.
