Mick is showing native bees with webs from the past. In precontact days Aboriginal women would tie a piece of cobweb to the leg of a bee so that they could see it flying back to its hive in a dry hollow tree. That way sugar bag or bush honey was easier to find, collect and enjoy! Now these native bees have to compete with the much larger honey bees.
