With this painting Freddie has chosen to share a memory of a watering hole that he frequented often whilst on his mustering adventures. The yellow in the middle is the flat in which they would settle the animals down for the night. The black oval along the black line is Clara Spring- one of the main watering holes large enough to water the cattle. The creek usually continues onto Doon Doon. The black and pink area at the top represents mountain ranges. The black dot near the top is the cattle yard. The two dots at the bottom are small hills on the flat. The brown, black and pink areas at the bottom are also hills. Between the black and pink there is a track that leads to another yard many miles away. The white area on the top right was creek sand that Freddie says was a great place to sit and swim after a long days muster.
