Worlong Dreaming was made by the Grasshopper. Then he traded him in to the fish to keep him in the water. And the grass sang a song and he made the green weed that grows inside and he told the fish “That’s your home – that’s where you you sleep”. He didn’t know that the fish were going to be eaten. And the Grasshopper made the grass so people can use it for shelter and their own food. The Grasshopper made the grass grow all around and everybody use it for decoration. So you get the Grasshopper Dreaming today. This way the people use it to catch the fish or yabbies. They get a bunch of grass, tie him up and throw him in the water. The fish go to sleep inside the grass. Then you just go along and pick up the grass from the water and there’s the fish – like a fish trap. If you put a bit of bone in there you get lots of yabbies in there.
