The story:
This painting represents the yellow-tailed black cockatoo (moingana) flying from the mountains to the coast to feed on the coastal banksia’s flowers. The white dots represent their journey as they travel from the mountains to the coast and return. The different colours represent the different contours of the country they fly over.
