Rachel Jurra Napaljarri

The artist’s country is west of Yuendumu in Warlpiri land. That area is rich in limestone and hence there are many cavers in that area. Rachel shows people as the U shapes, sitting around in these caves that interlink. There are journey lines on either side of the cave system and she shows the differing types of bush and desert around that part of her country.
