This painting represents the tiger snakes on Babel Island. It is said they only feed on mutton-bird that migrate to the area every year. The circle in the top right is the snake hole and the other circles are the mutton-bird burrows. The grey and white spirals in between the holes represent the mutton-bird chicks the snake feeds on.
