This work is the story of Alice’s personal Tjukurrpa (law) – the Porcupine. The setting is the rockholes in and around the swamp of Taalalpi in Western Australia. The porcupine is scurrying around sticking her head in the various holes looking for its meal. Meanwhile tracking behind are women out hunting, hoping to make the porcupine their tucker for the evening.
