Fire is very important to our culture. Fire helps plants to re-generate. After a fire, animals will feed on the new growth. This was important because when the animals came to feed they were easy to hunt. The centre is where the fire has been and the red and orange spikes represent where the fire is going. The clusters of white dots show people lighting more fires. This painting also depicts the Tasmanian tiger (or thylacine) hunting chronicle, the centre with yellow dots are favorite hunting spots and the orange lines represent his path around these sites.
