This painting is not only about the Louisa Bay Spirits it is about the golden shells that are scattered around one particular site in Louisa Bay. I had noticed something reflecting off a small cave site. When I got closer it looked like there were clumps of gold shining. As I got closer I then realised it was these wonderful golden shells and they had a golden iridescent glow to them. I stood in amazement at such a wonderful sight. I was so affected by the shells that I felt I could not take even one from this site to show others for I felt it would be disrespect0ful to the Spirits of the place, I felt as though I had been shown this special site as a special gift to me by the spirits of Louisa Bay. The yellow dotting in the painting represents those golden shells. The spirit figures that are flowing through the painting are representative of the Spirits of the area.
