Louisa Bay Spirits 1 The painting is my interpretation of the spiritual effects that a very special spiritual place at Louisa Bay had on me. I was especially privileged to be selected by my community as an Aboriginal artist in Tasmania to visit a very special significant Aboriginal site at Louisa Bay in South West Tasmania. The place had a very special spiritual effect on me. I was particular moved by the effects of the water and would sit for many hours just resting my inner soul. Often the water had an iridescent blue/green colour to it and often whilst I was sitting reflecting I could see iridescent spirits of the sea floating in and out on the tidal edge. This made me specially feel that the spirits of Louisa Bay were welcoming me to this special place. This painting is my interpretations of those Louisa Bay spirits.
