Minnie Pwerle

Minnie has created a colour-rich portrayal of designs painted on Anmatyerre/Alawarr women’s breasts and abdomen before ceremonies in Atnwengerrp. The small round circles are significant in Minnie’s works as representations of the bush melon or bush melon seed, a once abundant fruit, now considered rare in Atnwengerrp. Minnie was recently listed as one of Australia’s Top 50 Most Collectable Artists in the Australian Art Collector.
