Rachel shows 2 different groups of dance ceremonies involving Napaltjarri & Napanangka skin groups of women. One group are dancing with their coolamons (wooden bowls), the other with their digging sticks. The central element is the nulla nulla or dancing pole. The long lines are the dance lines – marked in the ground by their dancing and swirling skirts. The background imagery shows her exquisite use of multi-coloured dotting that gives a 3-dimensional feel to her painting. This technique is used by just a few Warlpiri women led by Rachel’s close artist friend Audrey Martin (Williams) Napanangka.
