The story:
Sam has shown bush onion country around Lander River in the Tanami Desert. The bush onions are found in the ground along creeks and this is also where a specific ochre is found that is used for body painting for ceremony. Sam painted this work during his exhibition “Ceremony” at Art Mob in Hobart in February 2005.
