The story:
This painting is a map of Sam’s home country at Alice Springs. The central circles represent Alice Springs and the other 2 represent important sites on either side of Alice Springs. The connections are underground tunnels known only to initiated men. Sam painted this work during his exhibition “Ceremony” at Art Mob in Hobart in February 2005.
