Country: Central and Western Desert Tribal Groups: Warlpiri, Arunta and Luritchi This is a men’s story. Sam says that this painting depicts the long vines that are dried out in the sand. They are then held above a fire to soften the wood and to enable them to be straightened into spears. This painting featured in the artist’s first solo exhibition – Ceremony, Art Mob, February 2005.
