Nora has painted some of her father’s country, called Kunawarritji (Well 33), far to the south west of Balgo Hills along the middle stretches of the Canning Stock Route. The top central circle represents Kunawarritji, while a number of other rockholes in the area have been depicted. The white circular shape is a billabong. The undulating lines represent tali or sand dunes. The fields of dotting represent the variety of bush food found in the area. Nora is familiar with all the different bush foods that can be found here including kantilli or bush gooseberry, pura or bush tomato and kumbraht or bush raisin.
