Narbula has painted a women’s dance ceremony. The central circle represents the nulla nulla or dancing pole. The long swirling lines leading to this central point are the dance lines made by the Aboriginal women as they move to the central point. The 2 dance groups are of different skin groups – maybe Napaltjarri & Napanangka. The women get painted up with body paint and their breasts feature on either side of the nulla nulla. The segmented designs to the edge represent her country.
