This painting depicts the artist’s father’s country (Warlpiri). It features two Water Serpents. Legend has it, one became territorial over its place and bit the intruder. This started a battle that created a large clay pan plain. The commotion made a big noise that interrupted a women’s ceremony and all the women came to watch the two snakes fight it out. The oval shapes are the female snake’s eggs.
