Our songline belongs to the production of resins to haft stone onto wood. That plant grows right across – in the ranges and on the plains. It’s a material cultural object made and used by men and women. Women use it to repair coolamons – men use it to repair spears and woomeras. Bush mechanics also use the spinifex grass to pad out flat tyres and the resin to patch up petrol tanks. The resin can be reconstituted and used over and over again. It has been used both in pre-contact and post-contact times.
Cash – locally only – up to $10,000 only. Layby facilities available. Card details can be advised securely using WhatsApp.
