The imagery shown is a Tasmanian ochre painting of Horseshoe Falls. Horseshoe Falls is a tiered cascade waterfall located one hundred meters upstream from Russell Falls. Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls are located seventy kilometres north-west of Hobart, within the Mt Field National Park, Tasmania. As a young boy my grandparents would take me here and I would always call it ‘Double Falls’ as it had two waterfalls. The greatest influences in life was my grandfather. We shared a passion for the Tasmanian bush and wildlife. One thing that has not changed since white colonisation is our waterfalls. It is a window into the past.
