This painting shows much of the country on Texas Downs Station in the East Kimberley. This country encompasses two important dreaming sites. The bigger hill in the central left of the work is known as ‘Lajibany’ where Lajibany creek begins and it is the place for fig dreaming. When talking about this work the artist remembered her trips to this place as a child and said “ Filled up a Billy can, gotta fig”. The hill on the right in the work is a place associated with the blowfly dreaming. “ If you go there the Blowfly will get all over you and you have to talk to them”. This painting was from Kevin Kelly’s collection and was executed in 1998 and was part of a 12 piece project that Queenie never got finished.
