Balgo Hills is situated at the junction of the Tanami Desert and the Great Sandy Desert in a remote part of Western Australia. Paintings from the mission at Wirramanu started the art movement from this region in the late 1970’s and continue today from Warlayirti Artists. Coincidentally, Art Mob’s very first exhibition in April 2002 was from Balgo Hills.
