Ngartimarnu is the name for some of Boxer’s traditional country, which is along the middle stretches of Sturt Creek or Purkitji. The painting shows on one side the channels of Purkitji. The larger panel shows some of the hunting that is to be had in the area. Boxer has shown both his weapons – spear and two types of booomerang – and the prey, in particular two types of lizards, luurnkuta (blue tongue) and minitjurtu. The geometric shape is the different billabongs in the area.
