The story:
Sam has painted part of the Emu Ceremony – a part of his initiation ceremony. The elongated elements represent special caves in Warlpiri country and the 5 smaller elements represent the tribal groups involved in this ceremony. Sam painted this work during his exhibition “Ceremony” at Art Mob in Hobart in February 2005.
