Dii-bag – Wet
These are tracks of a rain bird called Poo-poo. The symbols of the wavy line patterns represent the sounds of the Poo-poo bird crying well before the rain is expected. And usually it then rains on the island – the frogs represent the rain. The title Dii-baag means “moist” felt by the frogs before the frogs start croaking.
Original stone lithograph, printed green/brown to red ochre blend.
Drawn by the artist & printed in one run by editions Tremblay NFP.
Edition of 15.
