The story:
These are dugong ancestral spirits holding mawa shells (ocean clam shell). They have transformed from the dugong patterns into spirit figures. These rock style art figures then collect the dying upside down dugong tears and then they move up to the spirit world of Dhangalau Kiev lag (ancestral resting place).
