Abatuli is large basket used for carrying shells such as Akul (mangrove shells) Getalai (crabs) and many other items. In earlier days, human skulls that were used for trading were carried in an Abatuli.
The baskets are woven by the Island women. They are still being made today, however, these skills are not being passed on to a younger generation as much as they were in the past
Cash – locally only – up to $10,000 only. Layby facilities available. Card details can be advised securely using WhatsApp.
