All our Aboriginal people from their country (8 different skingroups) get together to speak up for their country – land rights. Marilyn has shown a population density mapping of the Northern Territory with Alice Springs as the hub, surrounded by the town camps where Aboriginal people live – some permanently, some just visiting. Alice Springs is the centre for contact with the Government to address issues such as native title to land, health, social security, drug abuse, petrol sniffing, domestic violence, mining rights and other matters. The outstations in the surrounding countryside are almost devoid of people.
