All around this Nicholson country and right to the south we used to have to grade big tracks after the Wet to bring the cattle down from the mountain country and hold them for the drovers. These tracks were washed right away in the Wet. They were rough, but they did the job. That’s one of them running through the middle there. The supplies for the camp were brought up the track for us stockmen, and the drovers took the cattle back down the track. Ever heard someone say “See you down the Track?” Yeah, we said that all the time with all the people coming and going back in those days.
