This painting was collected by an Alice Springs taxi driver sometime between 1980 and 2003. The artist is probably from the Warlpiri people. The Honey Ant Ancestors were important beings who performed ceremonies in the Western & Central Desert region. The artist shows the honey ants as we see them. They are a food source for the desert Aborigines.
