The image for this rug is from an original acrylic on canvas. This story is part of a long story about the seven sisters and their flight from wati Nyiru. The story is a complex one and depicts the journey of the women as they shape the landscape and the flora. It is significant to the Anangu (Aboriginal people) in the area of Fregon where Anyupa comes from as it is an important story of the creation of their land and skies. The seven sisters eventually take flight to the skies and form the Pleiades.
