Leigh Oates

This painting represents bush honey and the families that find it and share it with other family groups. The three large circles represent the families and the sharing of the honey. The coloured circles represent the different native flowers the bees would have seen and removed nectar from. The fine yellow and white dotted lines are the paths the bees travel when away from the hive. Bush honey was a real treat for Aboriginal families.
