A husband and wife, emus with many children living happily. One day the children came to their parents and told them that there was a very frightening creature chasing them, so they ran to their mother for safety. The mother went to see the frightening creature and saw a giant goanna. The mother told her children they were right to be frightened and run away. Later the father and mother emus lead the children to Kalattuti Kalavidi where they lived safely.
