Phyllis Ningarmara

This is the artist’s traditional country near Kununurra in the east Kimberley region of Western Australia. This is where a small creek flows into the Dunham River and on towards the Ord River. There is a large waterhole where the creek joins the river. The artist’s community is here. There are lots of flying fox in this area of the country. The small circles represent the many fresh water springs in this area of the country.
