Cassandra has painted a range of images. Her key figures are the Gwion Gwion people – also known as the Bradshaw figures – that are painted on rock walls in the Kimberley. The artists possibly preceded the Aboriginal people but Cassandra embraces them as her forefathers. The structural item is a Wandjina – also figures that are depicted on rock walls in the Kimberley. The halo around their head indicates rain and lightning. These are powerful figures. Cassandra’s people are from the West Kimberley but she currently lives at Kalumburu – mid north Kimberley.
