The 2 side lines are the tracks of the ants carrying seeds from the grass (circular elements). The ant holes are the smaller circles. The ants walk in straight lines. In the middle are the women sitting down eating. They are eating brown seed (ngurlu) cakes. The women pick up the seeds and put them in a coolamon. They clean them up and grind them on a black rock. Sometimes they cook them with water to make a damper. The coloured patches are different types of country.
