Nyumitja Laidlaw

This painting depicts the Kungkarrangkalpa (Seven Sisters) at the place Kuruyarla, which is the artist’s country. They dig many holes to look for kuniya (carpet snake) around the rockholes and shelters (wiltja). They sing and dance when they find the kuniya, and are shown sitting in a sheltered area.
