Boxer has painted some of his country, found along the middle stretches of Purkitji (Sturt Creek) north of Balgo. Boxer knows all facets of this country and the seasonal changes that occur to the river each year. The dots in this painting represent the milk water that occurs each Wet season when Purkitji flows. The other features of the painting include boomerangs, nulla nullas and fighting spears.
