The echidna is searching for food and he knows where to look. The ants are busy in their underground nest not expecting the echidna.They are both connected but these creatures are complete opposites, the ants work together as a group to get the work done. The echidna works alone and and he still gets the work done. The painting shows the ants busy in their nest and looking after their eggs. Roots of plants can be seen penertrating the earth around the nest. The echidna is wandering about looking for food, and he has found it.
