The story:
This necklace was purchased by Art Mob from Jessica Wooley in July 2006. It is an old necklace that has had a clasp fitted to make it into a choker. The maireneer shells are fine and well matched in size. The colouring would indicate that they are from Cape Barren Island or similar island region in NE Tasmania’s Furneaux Group. It is possibly in the order of 100 years old.
