Elizabeth has painted some of the country south of Balgo. This is tali (sandhill) country. The ‘u’ shapes represent groups of nampitjin women sitting around telling stories. They are digging holes with their digging sticks and hunting for goanna. The painting also shows bushfires, a snake and a cave. The lines that dominate the painting represent the surrounding parma (hills) and tali (sandhills).
