People coming into town from their bush communities, mixing up, but forgetting to get the good new knowledge back home. The circles represent North, South, East, West and South West communities. The small two coloured circles show intermarriage between different bush communities. Marilyn is actually portraying a current aspect of social history in and around Alice Springs today. Aboriginal people from outer lying areas of the Central Desert region come in to Alice Springs for various reasons but mainly for health care and to collect social security funds as these facilities have been removed. They tend to congregate in 7 different camps around Alice Springs. Marilyn points out that they learn a lot – both good and bad – but are not going back to their communities to pass on that knowledge.
Cash – locally only – up to $10,000 only. Layby facilities available. Card details can be advised securely using WhatsApp.
