Peter Overs

Peter has painted an image of where he was born near the Balonne Minor River in SW Queensland. The bend of the river was his first home. He shows the rows of sand hills nearby and the grid overlay is a stylised map of his country. It shows the movement of the ancestral Emu man around Peter’s grandfather’s country in the Dreamtime when the earth was flat and had no geographical features. It was this Being who moved about this country creating the hills, valleys, rivers and other parts of the landscape.
