Old Emu had lots of children and Old Turkey also had plenty. Emu hid all but one of his chicks and said to Turkey “I’ve only got one child – you have to kill all yours except one”. So old Turkey killed all but one. Emu went back and took all his chicks out of hiding. Turkey knew then that Emu was telling lies. Now you can see that the Bush Turkey has just one chick each season but the Emu has many. This is a story about tribal dominance.
