Earth Images is inspired by the physical terrain and the Aboriginal stories which relate to it. This painting depicts a river meandering across the landscape. Creeks snake their own tracks feeding into this river. Ionic Aboriginal campsites are also included. The shape of this river and creek system recurs many times in nature: as in a leafless tree against a blue sky or a lightning strike bright in the sky. As an artist William encourages you to interpret this painting as you see it. We all have had unique experiences that determine our own perspective. William hopes the painting humbly mimes nature’s images.
