The story:
The artist has painted about a ceremony to do with initiation of the young males. As this is “secret men’s business” he does not give further details. The work was done in Rison Prison and is typical of prison genre art. The influence of his colleague Dusty Roads is quite apparent in this painting with the precision of the dots and some of the line work.
