Ruby is telling the story of the women out collecting Ultukunpa – Honey Grevillea and Kaling – Kalingpa – Desert Grevillea. The flowers of the Grevilleas produce a sweet honey nectar which is collected or sucked off the flower. The Kaling – Kalingpa is the orange leaves with red and white dots. The Ultukunpa is the orange leaves with red, white and yellow dots. The women are represented by the footprints and the ‘u’ shapes sitting around a water hole with their wana or digging sticks at their side. The green circles are water holes where water collects. The green lines (with coloured dots) connecting the water holes are the water courses or creeks. The dogs are represented by the paw prints next to the women. The small footprints are the young girls.
