Mary has painted a bush tucker story from her Warlpiri country west of Willowra. Willowra is way north west of Alice Springs, a small township next to the Lander River. It is the source of many varieties of bush foods that the women collect at various times of the year. Specifically, she shows a camp site as the circular motif in the centre of the painting. From that site the women will go out collecting witchetty grubs, bush berries, wild onion and bush bananas. This is a very finely executed painting.
